The Fedex Field, built in 1996 at a cost of over $250,000,000 is the home of NFL's Washington Redskins. The stadium originally held a total capacity of 80,000 seats although this was increased to over 91,000 in the year 2000 following a number of developments costing over $55,000,000.
The Redskins played at the RFK Stadium before moving to the Fed Ex Field. The development was funded by Jack Kent Cooke who sadly died before the completion of the stadium.
The stadium hosts a number of bars and opens two hours before the game opens and closes two hours after the game ends
