Istanbul Park (previously known as Istanbul Otodrom) opened in 2005 and is a motor sport venue in Instanbul, most famously used for its Formula 1 motor racing circuit.This Formula 1 track and facilities were designed by world famous motor sport architect Herman Tilke. The track design was commissioned by TOMSFED, the Turkish Motor Sport Federation.
The circuit has the spectator capacity for 155,000 people (130,000 without temporary stands). The grandstand its self holds 25,000 spectators.
The circuit is 5.338km in length and is raced over 58 laps. The race was won by Kimi Raikkonen, McLaren in 2005 and by F. Massa, Ferrari in 2006.
