Highland League soccer team Huntly FC play their home fixtures at Christie Park.The stadium is sited in Huntly a town in Strathbogie in Aberdeenshire, 54 km (32 miles) northwest of Aberdeen.Christie Park is a large stadium in Highland League terms, and has a capacity for 4,500 people.There is a main stand with seats and cover, and opposite is a covered terrace.The stadium was opened in 1921, and was originaly named Strathbogie Park.After a meeting of the local council on Tuesday 9th, November, 1926.The Provist Christie announced to club officials that he had acquired Strathbogie Park, and he made a condition that if the club remained amateur, he would hand over the ground to the club.Huntly Football Club President Mr Jack Murphy accepted Provist Christies offer, and concluded his speech when he told the council members, that the ground would be renamed Christie Park.
DEVERON BAR: A nice friendly pub only 5 minutes walk from the stadium. SOCIAL CLUB: The Social Club is sited at Christie Park, and allthough it gets busy, the prices are reasonable.
There is not usually segregation at Christie Park unless its a Scottish Cup game or hosting a Cup Final
There is a snack van inside the ground where hot and cold drinks, hotdogs, burgers, crisps and sweets can be purchased.
