Stadium Puskas Ferenc is located in the city of Budapest, North Central Hungary, on the banks of the Danube. This multi-purpose stadium has the capacity for 68,976, but because of the appalling conditions the upper stands are in, no more than 44,000 people are allowed in.The stadium is named after legendery footballer Ferenc Puskas, who played for Hungary during the late 1940's and the early 1950's.The stadium was renamed in 2001, prior to that the stadium was called Nepstadion ("peoples stadium").
