It's the stadium of the Football Club of Marseille : Olympique Marseille (a great club in France with one Champion's League trophy !!) It is also the heaven of the French rugby squad (Boks, Wallabies, Kiwis and English men were defeated on the Stade V鬯drome). The record attendance at the Stade Velodrome was 58,987 during a UEFA Cup tie against Newcastle United in 2004 . The ground also played host to the 1998 World Cup in France who were the eventual winners. Stade Vlodrome from above
