The Milton Keynes bowl, also known as the 'National Bowl' was built in 1973 and is used for large scale music concerts. The bowl consists of a large 'horse-shoe' shaped mound surrounding a main field area. Although the site was built in 1973, the first music concert was not hosted until 1979 which starred Desmond Decker and Gino Washington
There have been a large number of events hosted at the bowl over the years. Including the following acts: -
- 1980's: Police, UB40, Thin Lizzie, Queen, Genesis, David Bowie, Status Quo, U2, REM, Simple Minds, The Cult
- 1990's: David Bowie, Erasure, Bryan Adams, Simple Minds, Metallica, Guns Roses, Bon Jovi, UB40, Jamiroquai, Ozzfest, Marilyn Manson
- 2000's: [Black Sabbath, Slip Knot, Tool, Papa Roach (Ozzfest)] AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Eminem, 50 Cent, Cypress Hill, Busted, Blue, Simply Red, Natasha Bedingfield, McFly, Ema Bunton, Green Day, Oasis, Texas, Charlotte Church

The Bowl is located on V4 (Watling Street) and is heavily signposted. There are many parking spaces around the town.
