Home ground of the Castleford Tigers Rugby League club. A nice ground with a great atmosphere, though sections are showing their age. Of particular concern is the entirely wood built main stand for which a replacement is long overdue. Despite the age there is always a good atmosphere on matchdays with plenty to do before, during and after the match. There are numerous food and drink (licensed) outlets around the ground and many of them are open to all fans (VP lounge and Supporters Club bars are restricted).
Three sides of the ground is terracing, but seats are available in th main stand. Very few of these are reserved and transfers can be obtained on matchdays. The whole of the ground offers great views of the on field action, though the old style construction of the stands include supporting pillars which can be a minor annoyance. Three sides of the ground is covered, with the Railway End open to the elements.

Plenty of pubs both in and outside the ground. Check out the on site bars (just ask a steward) or one of the three pubs on Wheldon Road itself. There are also other bars/pubs as you move into the town centre. On matchdays the pubs nearer the ground tend to fill up fairly quickly.
Except on very rare occasions (ie: when instructed by the police) Castleford Tigers do not have a segregation policy. Having said that away fans tend to gather in the Princess Street stand or at the Railway End of the ground.
When crowds are near capacity the club tends to request that fans don't change ends at half times. At other times this is not a problem.
Available in the ground.
