The National Aquatics Center will be used for Swimming events in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The stadium will consist of a total of 6,000 permament seats and 11,000 temporary seats making a total of 17,000.
The arena will be built in the shape of a gigantic glass block with enormous bubbles on the surface of the block. It, along with the Olympic Stadium, situated next to it will be a very unique building. There will be an 8 lane 50m pool and a diving area within the complex.
The Aquatics Centre will play host to Swimming, Diving, Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming events in 2008 and will be used as a National and International Swimming venue once the games have completed.
