Allan A. Lamport Stadium, located in the heart of the city (on the south side of King Street, West and two blocks east of Dufferin Street), is an open-air stadium with a seating capacity of 9,000. It is the only open-air stadium in the Greater Toronto Area with artificial turf. The uniqueness of this playing surface makes Allan A. Lamport Stadium a quality year-round sports playing and training venue.
Built in the '70s to meet the growing interest in soccer in Toronto, the stadium is now largely used for amateur and semi pro games as the city looks to construct a new facility to host games in the FIFA youth tourney in 2007.
